An arugula/caprese salad, featuring our first-of-the-season arugula...

A lettuce miracle

These beautiful greens were harvested June 3 for a wonderful, wonderful salad - lightly dressed with olive oil and lemon juice...these miraculous seeds were mesclun and gourmet lettuce blends from Burpee - they sprouted quickly and just flourished, turned into a marvelous pot of life. This pic was taken right after an early-evening rain, the leaves just glistening and screaming, FRESH!
